Torben Schütz is a German political scientist specializing in security and defense policy. He currently serves as a Senior Expert at the Bertelsmann Stiftung, focusing on German and European security and defense policy, military capabilities, and defense industrial issues.

PROJECT OFFICER

Alicia von Voß is a German political scientist specialising in European security and defence policy. Until February 2024, she served as Deputy Director of Research Management and Head of Operations at the Research Institute of the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). Prior to this, she held roles as a research manager and as a staff member in the Security and Defence Programme at DGAP.

MANAGER SECURITY & DEFENCE POLICY

Theresa Caroline Winter is a German political scientist specialising in security and defence policy. Since July 2020, she has served as Policy Advisor for Security and Defence Policy in the Global Themes Department of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. In this role, she focuses on integrated security approaches, nuclear deterrence, and civil-military cooperation.

JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Sören Hellmonds is a Junior Project Manager in the Green New Deal program, focusing on socially just transitions, public acceptance of climate and environmental policy, and the intersection of environmental protection and populism. Before joining his current role, he worked as a freelance researcher, including for the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP).
