EDINA leistet hierzu einen Beitrag, indem es die Komplexität der Verteidigungspolitik in klare, forschungsbasierte Erkenntnisse und praktische politische Empfehlungen für Deutschland und Europa übersetzt. Als Think Tank schlagen wir eine Brücke zwischen Analyse und Praxis und stellen sicher, dass Forschungsergebnisse in die strategische Planung und politische Entscheidungen einfließen. EDINA vernetzt Experten aus verschiedenen Sektoren und Ländern in ganz Europa und bietet eine Plattform für gebündeltes Fachwissen und Ideen, um den laufenden Sicherheitswandel in Europa zu unterstützen und zu begleiten.

    2023 - With its imperial ambitions, Russia represents the greatest and most ­urgent threat to NATO countries. Once intensive fighting will have ended in Ukraine, the regime in Moscow may need as little as six to ten years to reconstitute its armed forces. Within that timeframe, Germany and NATO must enable their armed forces to deter and, if necessary, fight against Russia.
